What kind of Zombie Opera would we be without wishing a very Happy Birthday to Night of the Living Dead’s creator, George Romero!!!!

George Andrew Romero (born February 4, 1940) is an American film director, screenwriter, editor and occasional actor, best known for his gruesome and satirical horror films about a hypothetical zombie apocalypse. He is nicknamed Grandfather of the Zombie. read more

Zombie Opera Spring Performances!

Did you miss the October premiere of our show? Great News! We are planning a special two day performance of The Zombie Opera on May 6-7 (fri-sat) at Chatham University’s Eddy Theater (Pittsburgh, PA).

Winter approaches, grant final reviews and reports fine-tuned, discussions about the future are in progress, and the reviews keep on coming! The Tribune Review recently interviewed one of our artistic directors, Liz Rishel, in their Personality Test section, featuring a photo by Amul Kumar. In addition, Gores Truly, “a fem-driven horror site”, posted its review of our press performance in “The Zombie Opera – Pittsburgh” by Boris.

We'll be back!

It’s been about two weeks since our last Zombie Opera performance, and we are still insanely happy with how well everything went. Countless thanks to all who participated in the project, without you this would not be possible!

As we are slowly climbing out of the aftermath that is follow-up paperwork, we are happy to inform you that we have taken our fans suggestions into consideration and in addition to planning this as an annual October event we are also beginning to work out the details of doing an extra performance in Spring 2011.
