Call for Extras (summer video shoot) |
Did you want to audition but only have limited free time or prefer not to have a singing/acting role in the show? Have you ever wanted to be an extra in a zombie film? Have you been an extra and love it so much you can’t wait for the next opportunity?
As our opera is a multimedia theatrical work, live performance this October, it will include a projected zombie film that we will be producing this summer. That’s where you come in!
Contact us for info about being part of our show’s pre-recorded video segments. Filming will take place in Pittsburgh, PA May-July, on weekends. Even if you can only be an extra for a couple hours on one day this summer we can find a spot for you!
Don’t like zombies or prefer to remain human? No problem! We are seeking not only the un-dead, but soldiers, scientists, survivors and victims!
If interested please provide us with your name, availability/conflicts, description (height, hair, etc) and if you have any previous acting (or zombie) experience or a preference for which role you would like to fill.
My uncle was a zombie in the original Night of the Living Dead, and my mom was George Romero’s secretary, having typed up the script to Dawn of the Dead. So I have a rich heritage of Zombieing to draw on.
That, and I’d love to help, but have limited time to give, so this sort of thing would be perfect for me.
Oh, and Hi! 🙂

by Akilah Epperson- Heggins April 15, 2010 at 8:30 amHowdy, I’m quite interested in this project, which I found through a post from my friend and former colleague, Jill S.
I’m a comedic-prog-folk-rock musician with some acting ability (comedic/stupid stuff) who can carry a tune (I can send you oodles of recordings of me singing ridiculous things and I have a distribution deal with Spade Kitty Records of Chicago, so I’m somewhat legit).
Best of all, I’m unemployed so I’m free as a bird. Anywho, please contact me via my email and I can give you some more details.
Oh, my girlfriend is a legit actress with her first real film credit in the upcoming Columbia Pictures film “The Social Network.” I’d like to pass the info along to her as well, if you don’t mind. She should be free this summer as well, can act and sing like a singin’-fool and we are both looking to be involved in projects.
Thanks!
